In earlier posts, I described God as love, and how love is the unifying essence and the highest form of energy that permeates and holds the universe together. Equivalent to one, love is the life-giving force that undergirds all matter.
Another intriguing concept of God is spirit. In ancient traditions such as Taoism and Hinduism, as well as in Greek and Hebrew etymology, spirit means wind or breath. You cannot see the wind or the breath, but you can feel it, experience it, and observe the effects of it.
Jeffrey Kluger, an author and senior writer at Time Magazine, invokes God in an article, when he states that science is “grappling with something bigger than mere physics, something that defies the mathematical and brushes up…against the spiritual.”
When you think about the brilliance, the complexity, the vastness, and the interconnectivity of the universe, it’s hard to reduce it into a merely mechanical universe that you and I inhabit as essentially nothing more than robots, created by pure chance.
Think about one grain of sand on the beach, then consider how many grains of sand exist on that beach. Next, imagine all the grains of sand on all the beaches in your country and your entire continent, plus all the beaches on all the continents combined.
