When Weakness is Your Strength

by Jun 19, 2021Theme: Live With Purpose

The wisdom of the egoic mind is a world where power is linked with material wealth and physical strength. The strong survive and succeed, while the weak fail and get left with very little. The ego, therefore, always looks for ways to get ahead.

But love’s wisdom is uniquely different. Weakness is actually a strength because it makes us come to the end of the ego and accept unconditional love. This is one reason why the story of Jesus’ crucifixion is so compelling to us. Jesus was utterly vulnerable on that cross. The anguish was beyond anything any of us can understand. Yet, we see in Jesus strength in adversity. We find that in the end, that love wins, and weakness becomes a strength.

In the global awakening of the Christ-centric consciousness, it would seem to me that this principle holds true not only for us individually but also collectively. So often as individuals, we awaken to our essence of love through suffering because torment makes us more receptive to finding our true self within. Likewise, the most vulnerable groups in society are generally more open to experiencing transformation.
