The Fleeting Shadows

by Jun 1, 2021Theme: Gratitude

Viewing the world through a fearful lens keeps you under the grip of the ego, and that leads to more heartache, depression, disputes, trauma, illness, conflict, and the like. What you think about, you become. And what you have become, you attract more of.

So when the fleeting shadows of life darken your circumstances, you know that allowing a fearful consciousness to return is much worse than a temporary and momentary problem. Whatever you are facing may seem daunting, unending, and impossible at the moment, but trust me, it will pass. Your state of mind, your consciousness are what’s most important.

Giving thanks and being content is an attitude that keeps your heart at peace, your mind in the now, and away from the fearful scenarios that the imagination gravitates toward when under stress and pressure.

So try being thankful when something or someone attempts to pop your balloon next time. I guess that a continued attitude of gratitude will shift your consciousness away from the trauma of the moment, the feelings of despair, and the possible loneliness of your heart. Instead, your focus will turn toward the beauty and generosity of life and the surpassing love and peace that is somehow woven into the fabric of the universe.

Such a broad and transcending consciousness will then calm you when faced with injustice again, lift you higher when others seek to bring you lower, and make your view bigger and broader when confronted with alleged impossibilities. When you are in that grateful place, good things will happen mysteriously, effortlessly, and undeservedly. You will experience a reality whereby all things work together for good, no matter how bad it may seem at the time.
