Jesus said that the words that I speak are spirit and they are life. The words of Jesus were not neatly packaged doctrinal statements or beliefs to wrap one’s head around, but they contained energy that bypassed the mind and touched the spirit of the people listening.
Living a purpose-driven life that creates a better world is more than finding the mysterious “right” thing to do or some grandiose mission to accomplish. It requires nothing more than remaining in a state of consciousness of your true self and manifesting that awareness by being completely present in every moment. It’s simple, but it’s not always easy.
One way to practice bringing your true self into all of your endeavors is to pause throughout the day for 30-60 seconds and become completely still and aware of the divine presence in everything.
Being aware of the sacred Presence within you that is deeper than thought guides what you do. Your function is meaningful and even essential. But the role you play by doing is secondary to your purpose.
