Life-Giving Words

Jesus said that the words that I speak are spirit and they are life. The words of Jesus were not neatly packaged doctrinal statements or beliefs to wrap one’s head around, but they contained energy that bypassed the mind and touched the spirit of the people listening.

So life-giving were the presence and words of Jesus that people were healed. Still, Jesus never gave himself credit for the miracles, but always said that it was their faith that had made them whole.

Even if it was just momentarily, being with Jesus had awakened them to the dimension in them that was one with God. This was faith because it transported them beyond thoughts, beliefs, and mental constructs into that place of spiritual awareness. Healing was now the most natural outcome.
