Why Am I Here?
Within every person, there’s a longing for meaning in life. We want our human experience to matter. At some point, therefore, most of us are faced with the question of purpose. Why am I here? What’s the real meaning of life?
We often assume that what we do is our purpose. But doing is a function. That function varies throughout our human experience. Our role within a family structure evolves. Our careers change, and our goals and dreams fluctuate. The endeavors we pursue and the work we engage in are essential to what it means to be human. Yet what we do is not our primary purpose.
Instead, our purpose is to find our true self within and to manifest our spirit’s oneness with God through our human experience. Awakening to this Christ-centric consciousness is the same for every human being, and it’s what gives meaning to life.
When you are aware of Christ in you, and you see Christ in everything and identify with everything as Christ, the objective for your human existence is revealed. Experiencing this reality is merely to be present with whatever is now. It’s being conscious of the divine presence resting in all things.
