The 4th Dimension
In my youth, I read the book, The Fourth Dimension, by Dr. David Cho. It had such a profound impact on me that I have read it many time since. The author describes how the three-dimensional world, or the material world, is what our physical eyes can see. He explains that this material world is controlled or powered by the fourth dimension accessed through the eye of the imagination.
In his brilliant and simple way, Dr. Cho then suggested that the language of the fourth dimension is visions and dreams. At that time, the leader of the world’s largest congregation in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Cho, explains how he, as a young man coming from extreme poverty, would deliberately visualize his congregation having 10,000 members. No such congregation existed in the world at that time. Every day while praying, he would imagine speaking to a crowd of 10,000 people on Sundays.
Feelings of joy, satisfaction, and love for the people welled up inside him while visualizing the goal. Sure enough, his congregation grew to 10,000 people. Eventually, that congregation grew through directing his imagination in prayer to a membership of 800,000 people – the largest single church in the history of the world.
